The end of the term

The end of the term nears and as the other courses, the English class too. Along this course I have learned somethings new and I have reinforced my oldest knowledge in this subject.
I think that this "blog experience" is very useful to us like students, because all the theory is taked to the practice and we can apply our knowledge.

Every Friday we must take the computer and start to write about different topics, I think that is very good, because with this, we get used to write in English and with the Wednesday's classes, that in general we have to speak in English we can mix both experience and have a better integration of the this language.

These things combined with the oral presentation that we had to do, makes the English course more fruitful to us.

Personally, although my performance in this course wasn't the best, I enjoyed write these blogs, because is a didactic alternative to learn and escape from the monotony of the Professor speaking in a class room. Even in the normal classes we interact with the Teacher and our classmates.
I think that write this blogs is a very good strategy to learn and I hope that the next term be similar.

Men v/s Women

In the actual world, women have almost the same social position that the men and her influence have been increasing over time.
Personally I have been raised in a "women environment". My parents are separated, and since I was child I’ve lived with my Mother, Grandmother and my sister, and the 3 generations are different. My grandmother didn't work, she got married when she was 21 and only my grandfather works and brought money to the house, while my grandmother cleaned the house or took care the children. In that period, most of women didn't have voice or vote, and only was the wives of men.
My mother studied Music pedagogy and both with my Dad worked, and brought money, but my mother took care of me and my sister and cleaned the house, and his boss was a man so she didn't have much work and her salary wasn't very high. In these years there were many inequalities in the works position, and if men and women had the same job, there were an inequality in the salary (today there is a big difference in these items).
Now my sister is studying Art in this same University and is very independent, she is very bossy with her boyfriend and wants to live alone. Today my mother is the school's counselor and don't need anyone that can help her.
Actually we have a society with gender equality in the most of aspects, even women can make better works than men and her influence in the important decisions have been increasing very much (Last president of Chile was Woman).
I have the capacity to interact with men and women of the same way.
In my house we take turns the house tasks, and there's not a preferential treat with me.
Finally I think that there are not many difference in the contribution that each of the sex could make in my area, but one of them is the sensitive, because the women generally have more sensitive than men and can understand more of emotional states of the people who have some pathology.

FILLED STOMACH, HAPPY HEART

Personally I think that food is very important in the life, but not only to get energy. Always is a pleasure goes to good restaurants, fast food's places, or simply buy some "sopaipilla" in the cart of the corner.

In my case I don't have a good food habits. In the morning my breakfast is only a cup of milk, but always I eat some bread in the University. I have lunch in the U, only when i have time and if I don't have I eat in my house. At night I have dinner or eat bread with a glass of milk, it's relative.

I don't really have a favourite food, but i like very much pizza, Chinese food, Peruvian food, sushi, Mexican food like "Tacos", etc. But the Chilean food is the best. I hope all the year the Chilean festivities in September, where the "empanadas", "anticuchos", "choripanes", and "chicha" are my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or in summer when we have the "humitas", corn cakes or "Porotos granados", but only I like these kind of beans, because I don't like the "legumbres" very much. In winter we have more "cazuelas" and "carbonadas".
All these Chilean food are very rich to my taste.

Actually in Chile we have a big problem of obesity, and we need a good education about food because the pincipal affected are children so they must have a good fat free diet.

When I started to study Physical Therapy, I didn't know much about the career. I knew that the kinesiology helped in the rehab of people, only when they had some diseases or injuries in their muscles or bones and I have always wanted to help people and work in the public service and try to improve the health system. Then, when I started to have more classes and different courses I learned very much about the profession and work of the Physical Therapist and discovered the wide fields of the career.

One of the areas to work is the respiratory physiotherapy where we are very important, because in winter is when there are more respiratory diseases, and most of the population suffers some of this sickness these months.
Other areas are neurorehabilitation and traumatology that are the most commons in the profession. The Sport Physical Therapy have the same important than the previous specialties and here we can work in gyms, sport clubs, sports centres like [CAR] HPC(High Performance Centre), etc.

Personally I prefer work in neurology area, because the nervous system is one of the more important body's system and essential to live, and we can help people to have a normal life after an accident or disease.

Hobbies in my free time

As a student of Physical Therapy of Universidad de Chile, I don't have much free time, but when I have a little of time, I like to watch TV, listen to music, play guitar and play football.

I started to play guitar when I was 12 years old, I was in 7° grade and some classmates knew how to play guitar, so I became interested and started to practice with my mother's old guitar that was in my house, and it was when my mother was a student, because she is a music teacher.
She didn't teach me, but I took the guitar each day of the week and completly by myself I learned to play some songs.

Before the guitar I played "Quena", a wind instrument like a flute, but this can be made of different kinds of wood. I liked to play inti illimani songs.
I remeber that one day y sent a e-mail to contacto@intiillimani.cl, explaining that I was 11 years old, and I didn't have answer, so i sent other mail, and 2 days later they answered me and they apologized for the delay.

Now I still like play quena and listen to inti illimani, but I prefer play guitar, because it embrace more musics styles.

8.8°

February 27th, 3.34 AM, I was in morpheo's arms, when i heard a voice far away from me that saids things that i didn't understand. Suddenly i woke up and all the apartament was moving and my girlfriend was screaming under the door, It was an earthquake and gradually was increasing in strength. I got up as fast as i could and i dressed. The plumbings were broken and the water was in all the corridor, all the dishes and glasses were broken in the kitchen, the TV crashed on the floor...slowly the movement was decreasing and 2 and a half minutes later all was quiet. The scream claiming for help didn't take long in come. We got down the stairs, and hit some doors to release some families who couln't leave their apartaments.
Finally we left the building and we were waiting for the parents of one friend, that went to Viña del mar where we was staying, and they took us to Santiago.
